WOW, Hanna was up at 5:56 a.m.! I tried to explain that on Saturdays it is okay to sleep a little later but I finally gave up and came down to play with her. This weekend promises to be warm and pleasant. The air is chilly this morning as I go out to water the flowers. The pool water is sparkling blue and inviting. Greg is on his way home. He has offered to stop at Tim Hortons to bring a Cafe Mocha and breakfast sandwich. Thank you to everyone who has looked at the blog and posted comments. I hear the garage door going up, Hanna has raced to the window to see who is here, Haliey is preparing to leave for Karate, all is well with the world here in Scarborough. Have a wonderful weekend!
It is early. Between the bird singing outside my window, and the dog at the side of the bed with her bone, I am not sleeping much past 6 a.m. Hanna has not learned that during summer vacation her family likes to sleep a little later in the mornings. She also does not understand the concept of weekend mornings. We are working on that! We have been enjoying the warm weather over the past few days. The pool water was up to a balmy 79 degrees yesterday. After your feet go numb, it isn't bad. With no rain, our lawn is a combination of brown and green and the flowers need constant attention. Haliey's job is to water the flowers on the deck. She and I are busy every morning with the watering can!
I am excited by the ability to create a place to share my thoughts, feelings, and pictures. Thank you for visiting and please leave me some feedback. It is late and everyone is asleep, the house is quiet and dark. I enjoy this time. I love the frantic pace of every day, the piercing screams of MAMA early in the morning, the paw and bone game early in the morning with Hanna, the cell phone conversations with Greg, but I especially enjoy the quiet thinking time. This time I take for myself. I write, I read, I reflect, and I pray.
