Greetings from Flagstaff Arizona! We arrived in Phoenix yesterday, Sunday, and were greeting with 115 degree heat. Dry heat or not...it is hot! We spent the night and this morning headed up the road to Flagstaff. This was our first trip using a GPS to find where we were going. We did pretty well...only got turned around a couple of times. We checked into our hotel here in Flagstaff and then headed out to the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert. As we drove through the National Park and ahhed at the sight, we realized it was getting chilly....It is about 67 degrees outside and rainy! What a difference a few hours makes. Tomorrow we are heading to the Grand Canyon. Greg wants to take a helicopter tour...I still need convincing!

Yay, you're on vacation! We used our GPS during our trip and it was SO great. The only trouble we had was that sometimes our hotel would be on the left and GPS would say it was on the right. We're in Seattle now heading to Pike's Market and the Space Needle! I'll be curious to hear if you get the helicoptor tour. BUT- my 2 cents- do it! The views will be amazing! What a way to see the grand canyon!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are going to have a fun vacation! GPS is pretty good most of the time! Good luck with it. Also if you decide to go on a helicopter tour try to enjoy it...I don't think I would be able to go through with it!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your trip! The red rocks are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteKaren, I am so envious of you! What a fabulous trip, the Grand Canyon is just incredible, I hope you get to see everything you want while you're there. Looking forward to hearing more about your adventures - and maybe that helicopter tour??? Have fun!
ReplyDeleteKaren,
ReplyDeleteVisiting the Grand Canyon has been one of my dreams since I am a little girl. One day I will have the opportunity to go and see with my own eyes that nature's wonder. Go for the helicopter tour that kind of thing is an experience of a lifetime. Enjoy and have fun!!
