Viva Las Vegas

Greetings from the city that never sleeps! We have enjoyed our time here..Greg and I have gone to some of the other hotel/casinos at night to see as much as we can before leaving tomorrow. Today we drove out to Red Rock Canyon and the scenery is so different from the east coast green. Today we are going over to the Venetian to take a gondola ride and then to a show here at the Mirage tonight. Tomorrow is a travel day back to NH and then on Sunday morning back to Maine. I am just about ready to do the online checkin for the airline so more from Maine next week.

  1. Karen,

Your vacations in Las Vegas sounds fantastic! Enjoy every minute of it for people like me that didn't get to go anywhere this summer. By following your blog and the blogs of the other classmates, that went on amazing trips I feel like I went on a trip myself. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Hi Karen,

Your time in Vegas sounded terrific! How was the gondola ride? Thanks for sharing your trip. We are thinking of going to Vegas when we make our cross county drive back to the east coast after leaving Hawaii. We are planning to ship the car to CA and the travel back... can't wait to check out Vegas. Did you do lots of gambling? I'm not very lucky, but I am excited to try it! Thanks for sharing your trip! Good luck with the travel back to the east coast.

  3. Pam and Kelly,
My husband and I are NOT gamblers. We set aside $20 to "spend" but only used $3 of it. I won and lost the money over 3 days and left with $10 so had fun. I played the penny slot machines. While we did not gamble much, we saw some that did...I love to people watch and there was lots to see. Las Vegas was very fun and we look forward to returning someday.
